Request for Submissions – Official Languages Act 2003 – Preparation of a new Draft Scheme by the Property Registration Authority

REQUEST FOR SUBMISSIONS

OFFICIAL LANGUAGES ACT 2003 – PREPARATION OF A DRAFT SCHEME BY THE PROPERTY REGISTRATION AUTHORITY

The Property Registration Authority is preparing its second scheme in accordance with Section 11 of the Official Languages Act 2003. It is proposed that the second scheme will run for three years from the expiration of the current scheme.

The primary objective of the Act is to ensure better availability and a higher standard of public services through Irish.

The Authority now wishes to invite representations in relation to the preparation of the new scheme from any interested parties. Submissions, which will be made available on the Authority’s website, should be forwarded electronically to: webmaster@prai.ie. Information in relation to the role/services provided by the Property Registration Authority is available on www.prai.ie.

The latest date for receipt of representations is 5 p.m. on 31 March 2010.
