What is EULIS?
EULIS is the European Land Information Service and is a consortium of European National Land Registers. The strategic objective of EULIS is to provide easy access to European electronic land and property information in order to promote and underpin a single European property market. This essentially means that professional users of online Land Registry Services within the European Economic Area (EEA) will have access to other Europe online Land Registry Services.
The vision for EULIS is that ultimately:
• customers will have ready access to information about individual properties throughout Europe;
• they will also have ready access to all necessary reference information on the land and property registration services provided, and the associated legal environment, in each European country; and
• all European land and property registration services will be readily accessible through a single portal.
The Property Registration Authority can now give it's landdirect.ie customers the facility to search other European online Land Registry services. All professional users of Land Registration services who subscribe to landdirect.ie and are resident within the EEA will be automatically given access to EULIS from 1st December 2007 . If you are an existing landdirect.ie customer and do not wish to have access to EULIS, then please contact Carmel O'Shea by email at carmel.oshea@prai.ie. Countries currently connected to EULIS live are Sweden, Netherlands, Lithuania, Ireland and Austria.
Scotland, N. Ireland, Latvia, Czech Republic, Finland and Iceland are members of EULIS but there are no dates as yet for live service.
How does EULIS work? Users simply log on as usual to landdirect.ie in order to get access to the EULIS portal. A new item “Access to EULIS” will appear on the landdirect.ie menu when the user logs on. Click here to view the log on page.
Click on "access to EULIS" and the EULIS homepage will open in a separate window.

The user should then select the country whose online land registration services they wish to use, for example, the Netherlands
The new page will open and contains a considerable amount of reference material for the country selected under the following headings • Land transactions and legislation • Land Information Services • Multilingual facilities • Contacts |
To proceed to the online service, please click on the ‘Open Application’ button on the top left of the screen.
We will have now entered the Kadaster Online services in the Netherlands. Select searching method from the menu on the left side of the page and proceed accordingly. Search options are - Address
- Post Code
